Twenty years of mornings like this

We built the Dream Car Tour in 2006 for a simple reason: a whole day in a Ferrari is a lot to commit to before you know whether you even like it. A morning in six cars answers the question, and it answers it on public roads, at legal speeds, with somebody else worrying about the route.

You drive the whole time. Our lead car picks the line through the back roads north of Teaneck and up to Bear Mountain; the tail car keeps the convoy together from behind.

The morning, in order

At the garage

Coffee and breakfast at 475 Alfred Ave in Teaneck, the paperwork, then we check licences and walk you through the cars and how the convoy works.

On the road

A lead car chooses the roads and the speed, a tail car follows the last of you, and there is no instructor riding with you.

Half-hourly

At each planned stop you hand over the keys and take the next car. Six cars, about thirty minutes each.

Halfway

A longer stop: stretch, look over what you drive next, and stand next to all six for the photographs.

Back by lunch

Return to Teaneck. The photographs arrive within a day or two, free.

Before you book

A spot is one booking for up to two people, a driver and a guest, and the price is the same either way. Every driver is 21 or older with a valid licence, a clean record and auto insurance of their own, exactly as for a rental; no track or performance-driving experience is needed. We hold a $1,500 security deposit per driver on a card and release it after the tour. Spots are non-refundable but transferable: if your date stops working, send someone in your place. One spot, no date attached

A certificate covers one spot. We email it, or mail it as a printed card, and the person you give it to books their own date when they're ready. Like the tour, it's non-refundable.
