Our friend and fellow Bullrun '06 driver Anabelle Frankl emailed us about a very cool luxury experience she's organizing for the Monaco Grand Prix this May, so we figured we'd share.
'My Yacht Monaco' is a luxury 3-day hospitality experience from May 14 - 16 2010 at the Monaco Grand Prix catering to discerning individuals and luxury brands. It includes VIP parties, viewing of the qualifying and actual race from on board the yacht, champagne receptions, meals, and an opportunity to take laps around the track in a Grand Prix pace car.
The hospitality begins on Friday night with an exclusive, VIP, invitation-only party on board the yacht 'Bulldog'. SAS Prince Albert of Monaco is already confirmed to attend and, if 2010 is like previous years, he will be joined by F1 drivers like Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, Nigel Mansell and Stefan Johansson, business leaders such as “Mr Easyjetâ€, Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, sporting stars like Boris Becker and Michael Johnson, Academy Award-winning director Steven Soderbergh, actress Michelle Yeoh and her partner Jean Todt, President of the FIA and a host of other VIP guests.
The party is from 8pm-2am with open, premium bar serving fine wine, champagne and liquor plus gourmet food, including caviar, and all-night DJ and dancing in Monaco’s famed harbor.
Guests return on Saturday morning to watch all the day’s racing and qualifying action from the comfort and luxury of the yacht. Champagne reception, lunch, afternoon tea and open, premium bar throughout ensure a relaxed atmosphere while the F1 cars pass within 50 feet of the yacht.
Disembarking at around 4-5pm, guests usually choose to enjoy dinner and all of the nightlife that Monaco has to offer on the Saturday night.
Sunday is race day. Board the yacht around 10-11am and enjoy a champagne reception and lunch while watching the early races then, at 2pm, it’s time for the Grand Prix de Monaco, followed by afternoon tea. Guests then leave the yacht to celebrate the day’s victory in Monaco.
Our trackside location ensures a fantastic view of the racetrack: the boat is moored by the chicane, in berth number 007, and was formerly used by the Jaguar F1 team. It offers uninterrupted views of the track – there is no ‘catch fence’ at this point in the track - and, uniquely, allows guests to gain access to the track itself. Why is this important? Because this year My Yacht Monaco is able to offer VIP guests the opportunity to take laps around the CLOSED Grand Prix circuit in a pace car. Anyone who is familiar with F1 will know how rare of an opportunity this is!
