The V8 Vantage represents Aston's first recent foray into true sports car territory. Before, their attention was on the V12 "grand touring" segment with the DB7, the Vanquish, and the DB9. When the V8 Vantage hit the scene, it presented a real competitor for mainstays like the Porsche 911.

And what a competitor it is. With its punchy and powerful 420hp V8, dead-sexy curves, and smooth 7-speed semi-automatic transmission, this Aston will keep its feet planted and whip you around the s-turns - topless - before you can say "shaken, not stirred." And you may even crack a smile or two, though that wouldn't be very secret-agent-like.
