We were pleasantly surprised to see that the New York Times picked up (and published in both print and online) the story about our Meals on Wheels event this month.  From their Wheels Blog … “Clichés are best avoided, but when a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder or a Bentley Continental GT is enlisted to ferry hot meals around town, the fast-food rejoinders naturally follow.On Monday, volunteers working with the Pascack Valley, N.J., chapter of Meals on Wheels were chauffeured to the homes of elderly people in cars provided by Gotham Dream Cars, an exotic-car rental company and club with locations in Englewood, N.J., and Miami. Event organizers hoped the partnership would raise public awareness of older people who are incapacitated or otherwise unable to leave their homes to buy food on their own…”

From today’s Bergen Record:  “John Foley usually delivers meals to seniors and the homebound as a volunteer with the Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels program in a 2005 Saturn.  Monday was a little bit different. Instead of the Saturn, Foley sat in the front passenger seat of a black, 2006 Maserati Quattroporte….”

Ahh our beloved (but unweildy) Saleen S7.  Several moons ago the fine folks from the Travel Channel stopped by our Florida office and filmed a segment on GDC and our beast-of-the-moment, the Saleen S7.  We’ve finally managed to get our paws on the video and are happy to share the love.  Enjoy!

Writer Riki Altman had an opportunity to participate in a recent Dream Car Tour in Florida (which she combined with a trip to the new Lamborghini restaurant nearby our showroom).  Here’s what she had to say (other than “!!!”) - “Before we committed to a date to dine, however, another email arrived from a peer asking if I “would at all be willing to” take over her assignment to drive luxury exotics for a story about Gotham Dream Cars, a local company that offers mere mortals the chance to tear up local roads in $200,000-plus machines for an afternoon as part of a Dream Car Tour. Ah, the sacrifices one must make….Nothing will ever compare to the feeling I got controlling the beast those Gotham guys nicknamed “Angry Smurf”: a blueberry-colored Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster.”

It was a rainy and cold fall day in NYC, but we trucked out the ‘ol LP640 Roadster (to the delight of everyone on 6th Avenue) and talked shop, watched some fire engines zoom by, and fired up the LP to get some giggles from the in-studio anchors.  Good times.  Video below:

Private Wealth Magazine recently featured us in a recent article about the benefits of an exotic car club such as our DreamShare program.  They spoke with one of our extremely happy clients who had nothing but great things to say.  From the article - “I would recommend this to anyone who does not have the time to tend to a car like this.  I pick up whenever I want in perfect condition.  I bring it back dirty….I don’t have to fix it, insure it, find a secure garage to keep it in or find someone to tune it…I can just enjoy the car for the weekend and then forget about it.”  Read on for the full story…

Paul Toscano & Oliver Quillia from CNBC stopped by one of our recent Dream Car Tours and spent the day hanging out, snapping some photos, and meeting some of the excited Tour participants.  They put up an excellent photo slideshow on their website to report on their experience (hint:  they loved it).   

American Executive highlighted GDC in a piece in their April 2009 issue.  And how can you have anything but love for an author that describes the sound of a Murcielago as “the possessed offspring of Axl Rose and Aretha Franklin”? :)  Click below for the full story…

Gary Gastelu, the editor of the Fox Car Report on Fox News, stopped by the Gotham Dream Cars Mega-Global HQ at Teterboro Airport yesterday with his live crew and filmed a segment on us.  Really a fun time — we chatted about GDC, the economy (who doesn’t chat about that these days?), Lamborghini SUVs and showed off some of our toys.  Below is an excerpt from the show…

GDC received a terrific write-up in this month’s issue of The Robb Report Collection - complete with a 2-page photo spread of our clubhouse!  The piece was a round-up of exotic car membership clubs and our DreamShare program was highlighted.  Read the full article (PDF) here.

The Bergen Record has a nice little write-up covering some background on GDC.  They also gave a nice mention to the Break The Code promotion we’re running for Toys for Tots at the Riverside Mall.  From the article, “Q. A lot of wives do this as a surprise present. Are most of the husbands, like Ted Kennedy, relieved to hear the car is just rented?  A.  Very.
