We’d like to extend an invitation to join us for the Gotham Dream Cars / Arena Motors Spring Open House.  The event will be taking place this upcoming Saturday, June 14th 2008.  This will be the first of several great events we’re planning this summer.  The schedule will be as follows:

9am - 11am - Breakfast & Run Prep
11am - 2pm - Group Drive (”Run”) to Bear Mountain
2pm - 5pm - Barbecue & Tech Inspection

We’ll make sure to have a bunch of our babies out on display and will bring some out to play on the run.  Bring your best wheels and get psyched for a fun drive and some classic MattyBurgers!  To RSVP and get details on the location, please send an email to ‘rachel@gothamdreamcars.com’.

Ok, so we got another new car in addition to the Quattroporte.  It’s serious.  It also has a blown transmission (aww.)  But it’s undergoing solid repair right now from our pals at Arena Motors.  This will be the most significant and amazing car we’ve ever put in our fleet, but we’re not going to give the details until it’s all ready to roll.  In the meantime, here are some teaser pics of the patient being operated on.  (BTW, we’re quite bad at keeping secrets, so a modest amount of snooping around the web will reveal what this new beast is.)

As if we needed any more distractions (beyond the 20+ exotic cars we see on a day-to-day basis), the wonderful folks over at the Virtual-E Corporation were kind enough lend us two of their uber-high-end VirtualGT Racing Simulators for a month.  WOW.  I though video games didn’t do anything for me and boy was I wrong — tons of fun.  We’ve been having a great time ripping around the Nordschleife in ‘08 Formula 1 cars (Marcello did the course in 6:31!).

So we’re trying an experiment. Call us crazy, but we’ve heard from lots of fans recently that they are dying to drive one of the vehicles from our fleet and would love a chance to do so at a reduced rate during off-peak times.

So here goes: For the month of February and only the month of February, all vehicles in the Northeast will be on sale for an incredible $995/day (max). You read correctly — that’s a flat rate for any vehicle, from the blissful Ferrari F430 to the luxurious Bentley Continental Flying Spur to the mighty Lamborghini Murcielago.

We have to deal with them every day - guys who post up pictures of $10M collections that all happen to be “rented out at the moment.” Others who rent our personal cars, and still others who offer cars like the “2008 Ferrari 360 Modena Spider.” So today we released a series of tips aimed at better informing consumers about ways they can avoid getting taken for a ride (figuratively) when renting an exotic car. Gotham Dream Cars is pleased to announce that we have a limited number of internship opportunities available for this summer.  If you’re going to be in the NYC/NJ area from June - August (or later), have a car and can get to and from our clubhouse in Northern NJ, and want a chance to be intimately involved with the operation of an exotic car rental company, please give us a shout!  We have opportunities available in sales/marketing, general office management, and “on the floor” at the clubhouse prepping, detailing, delivering and assisting with the vehicles themselves.

On this first official day of spring, we are proud and excited to announce the official launch of our DreamShare Membership Club.  DreamShare is an exciting new “timeshare” club program that allows members to gain all the benefits of owning a fleet of exotic cars without the absurd capital investment required or hassles of maintenance, insurance, storage or transport.  When you become a DreamShare member, think of our garage as your garage - you can drive any vehicle we carry in any city we operate.  And most importantly, club members receive significant discounts over normal rentals.  If you’re planning on driving more than a handful of days this year, DreamShare may be for you…

This past week, we had the pleasure of exhibiting at the 2007 Philadelphia International Auto Show where we had our awesome Ferrari F430 on display. We had a great (if not cold) week, and we signed tons of people up for the May and June sessions of the Dream Car Tour. Special thanks to our friends Christine Kyoto & Olga Night for their help working at the booth and to the thousands of people who dropped by to say hello.

And what a weekend it was. GDC was proud to have participated in the official Palm Beach Supercar Weekend and was out in full force at the Grand Prix Concours this past Sunday. Our friends at eCirkit were there too with an impressive display.

This is the big one. We are tremendously excited to announce the arrival of our first branch office: Gotham Dream Cars has officially opened for business in South Florida.

We’ve opened a beautiful office/future-clubhouse in Delray Beach, FL, loaded up six of our best “summer” cars on an 85-foot trailer (in the middle of the delightful NJ winter rain), and shipped ‘em all down.

Our starting FL lineup contains the Lamborghini Murcielago, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Ferrari 360 Spider, Ford GT, Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet, and Corvette Z06.

Most notably - we’re offering free delivery on any of our vehicles from West Palm Beach to Miami.

Ok, so we’ve been working away like maniacs over the past few weeks to prepare for some big announcements here at GDC, and it’s all coming together in the next few days.  To get started, we’re pleased to show you a sneak peek of our new logo.  Many thanks to Darrell Russell @ Velocity for doing a seemingly endless number of revisions to get this _just_ right.

What fun would a clubhouse full of exotic cars be without a kickin’ entertainment system? We asked ourselves the very same question, and the answer is ‘not enough’.

So we went out, bribed a few friendly salespeople at our favorite big-box retailer (amazing what offering someone a ride in a Murcielago does for you!), and voila, we ended up with a shopping cart filled with a 50″ Plasma TV, a stack of DVDs & video games, and……that most-elusive of holiday treats, a Playstation 3.

Ahh the length we go for our members & clients…

In preparation for the official launch of our DreamShare Club Program (more about this soon), we’ve been putting in some long hours getting our brand new 10,000 sq. ft. Clubhouse whipped into shape. Walls, check. Floors, check (well, they still need another layer of paint, but we’re close). New bathroom, check. Member Lounge, check. Fitness area, check. It’s a work in progress, but we’ll be there soon.

Well, we’ve finally decided it’s time to throw our bland ‘ol news page by the wayside…so we’re pleased to announce the new GDC News Section. Yes, yes, we know how many of you feel about blogs - rest assured, no mindless political ranting here (we promise).
