Ahh Fall - universally known as the best driving season of the year.  Well once again Fall is here and we at Gotham Dream Cars are super-psyched to celebrate the crisp air, turning leaves and dreams of warm apple cider the best way we know how - with a sale on all vehicle rentals!

Now is officially the best time all year to grab one of our beauties (like the Ferrari 458 Italia or the Lamborghini LP640 Roadster) and take ‘er out for a spin.  We’ve trimmed our weekday rental rates (and even some of our weekend rental rates) so you’ve got no excuse for some engine-revving fun.

Keep in mind a few things:  1 - We’re headed to Florida very soon (starting in November), so take advantage of the Northeast driving season while you can, and 2 - This won’t last for long…we’ll head back to normal seasonal rates on November 15th.

We were pleasantly surprised to see that the New York Times picked up (and published in both print and online) the story about our Meals on Wheels event this month.  From their Wheels Blog … “Clichés are best avoided, but when a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder or a Bentley Continental GT is enlisted to ferry hot meals around town, the fast-food rejoinders naturally follow.On Monday, volunteers working with the Pascack Valley, N.J., chapter of Meals on Wheels were chauffeured to the homes of elderly people in cars provided by Gotham Dream Cars, an exotic-car rental company and club with locations in Englewood, N.J., and Miami. Event organizers hoped the partnership would raise public awareness of older people who are incapacitated or otherwise unable to leave their homes to buy food on their own…”

Instead of the Saturn, Foley sat in the front passenger seat of a black, 2006 Maserati Quattroporte….”

Tis’ the season of giving and we’re excited to give back to the Bergen County, NJ community this month with a fantastic organization, Meals on Wheels.  For the month of December, we will give back 10% of all gift certificate sales to the Pascack Valley Meals on Wheels (PVMoW) to help further their efforts of providing meals to seniors in need.  And on December 20th, we’re going to be using some of the vehicles from the GDC fleet to help with meal deliveries!  Read below for details… Read the rest of this entry »

Ahh our beloved (but unweildy) Saleen S7.  Several moons ago the fine folks from the Travel Channel stopped by our Florida office and filmed a segment on GDC and our beast-of-the-moment, the Saleen S7.  We’ve finally managed to get our paws on the video and are happy to share the love.  Enjoy!

Our pal (and GDC alum) Matt Farah from The Smoking Tire took our Ferrari 458 out for a spin a few days ago and did an excellent video review of the beast.  Verdict:  Surprise, surprise…he loved it.  Video is below…

Gotham Dream Cars is extremely pleased to announce that we have taken delivery of one of the first 458s in the country.

Yes, you read that correctly:  The Ferrari 458 Italia is here.

And let us not mince words:  This is, hands down, the best car we’ve ever driven.  Ferrari has completely outdone themselves.  The newest V8 in their lineup pumps out 562hp from it’s 4.5L V8.  The power is absurd.  The handling is perfect.  The gearshifts happen telepathically and faster than you can blink.  It’s the closest thing to a Formula 1 car we’ve ever experienced.  In fact, words don’t even do this car justice.  Take a look at the pictures, give us a call, and rent it.  You’ll understand.

We had a bit of a Porsche gap in our lineup and it wasn’t making us happy, so we’ve rectified that by adding a very very cool 997 to the stable.  Presenting the Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet.  There’s a reason the Porsche 911 is one of the most popular sports cars ever, and after a few minutes behind the wheel of one you’ll understand why.  It’s a fun, balanced, sporty and downright adrenaline-pumping kind of car.  And, of course, we got a convertible tiptronic, so drop that top and enjoy a cruise along the beach, feel the wind in your hair, and you too will get bitten by the Porsche bug.

We’re on a roll this summer (it’s officially summer, btw!) … We are excited and giddy to announce the availability of the best Ferrari we’ve ever had in the GDC fleet - the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano.  This 612hp V12 monster is the epitome of Grand Touring - absurdly fast, absurdly comfortable, and absurdly fun.  Our master photographer, Jason Thorgalsen, took the new addition out the other day and snapped some excellent shots.  Enjoy!

We are extremely pleased to present the newest addition to our ever-growing exotic car rental fleet - the Lamborghini LP560-4 Spyder.  We went evil this time and grabbed a triple-black example of this spectacular car (black exterior, black interior, black wheels).  This is one of our favorites, actually:  Lamborghini basically took a list of every component in the Gallardo and tweaked, improved, facelifted, and just overall awesome’d every one of them.  The result is a car that downright rocks.  And there’s only one way to experience that joy…reserve her today.

An interesting study released by Cornell University found that “people get more enduring happiness from their experiences than their possessions.”  Hmm … sounds like they spoke to some folks who participated on our Dream Car Tour!

Writer Riki Altman had an opportunity to participate in a recent Dream Car Tour in Florida (which she combined with a trip to the new Lamborghini restaurant nearby our showroom).  Here’s what she had to say (other than “!!!”) - “Before we committed to a date to dine, however, another email arrived from a peer asking if I “would at all be willing to” take over her assignment to drive luxury exotics for a story about Gotham Dream Cars, a local company that offers mere mortals the chance to tear up local roads in $200,000-plus machines for an afternoon as part of a Dream Car Tour. Ah, the sacrifices one must make….Nothing will ever compare to the feeling I got controlling the beast those Gotham guys nicknamed “Angry Smurf”: a blueberry-colored Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster.”

Our friend and fellow Bullrun ‘06 driver Anabelle Frankl emailed us about a very cool luxury experience she’s organizing for the Monaco Grand Prix this May, so we figured we’d share.

‘My Yacht Monaco’ is a luxury 3-day hospitality experience from May 14 - 16 2010 at the Monaco Grand Prix catering to discerning individuals and luxury brands.  It includes VIP parties, viewing of the qualifying and actual race from on board the yacht, champagne receptions, meals, and an opportunity to take laps around the track in a Grand Prix pace car.
