We started here in March 2004 with a single car, a 2001 Ferrari 360 Modena, and a premise one of us didn’t believe in. In 2003 Rob Ferretti, now our co-founder and COO, told Noah that renting exotics would never work: the business was known for scams, and for insurance that fell apart when it mattered. Noah’s answer was to run it straight, and Rob came on board to run the operation. That is still the model. We own every car we rent, insure them commercially and put the price in writing.
Along the way The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, CNBC and the Travel Channel covered us, and the company made the Inc. 500. Where the car earns its keep
Here is the honest version. In Midtown traffic a Lamborghini moves exactly as fast as the cab beside it, and parking it costs what parking anything costs. The city is for arrivals: a hotel entrance, a dinner, a gala, the ride in from the airport that sets the tone for the trip.
The driving happens outside it. Head north to Bear Mountain, where our tour goes, or carry on into the Hudson Valley, where the roads finally match the car. A weekend rental gives you both: the arrival on Friday night and the open road on Saturday.
How it reaches you
The car leaves our Teaneck garage with one of our own drivers and meets you where you choose: at the curb, with your building’s concierge, or at the FBO at Teterboro if you’re arriving by private jet. At the end, we collect it the same way. Regular handovers run from 8am to 9pm; later than that, call and we’ll arrange it, with an after-hours charge.
Delivery is never part of the rental price. It’s priced from your exact address when you book, and the table on this page gives typical drive times from Teaneck. Tolls and Manhattan’s congestion charge are billed by licence plate and passed on, plus a $15 toll fee per rental. Everything else you’ll need to know is on the requirements page and in our FAQ.

Is this the Gotham Dream Cars I've read about?

Can I just have it for an afternoon?
Rentals are priced by the day, 24 hours from handover, and we time the handover around your plans. If an afternoon is genuinely all you want, the Dream Car Tour may suit you better: one morning, six cars, about thirty minutes behind the wheel of each.
Where should I actually drive it?
Out of the city. North to Bear Mountain, along the Hudson, or up into the Hudson Valley, all well inside our driving area. In Manhattan the car is for arriving, not for driving.
Can the car meet my jet at Teterboro?
Yes. We hand it over at the FBO, at a time agreed when you book, and the delivery is priced like any other address. Send us your arrival time with the booking.
What does renting take?
A driver aged 21 or over (some cars ask for more), a valid licence and a clean record. Insurance: as a New York customer, liability is enough; from any other state, you need full coverage. And a security deposit, typically $2,500, held on your card. The details are on our requirements page.
Can someone else do the driving?
Yes. A chauffeur is available on many of the cars, at additional cost, quoted for each booking.
