A nearly perfect blend of comfort and performance, the GranTurismo is a complete grounds-up redesign of Maserati's popular-but-underrated Coupe, and this baby packs a wallop. Its 405-hp Ferrari F430-derived motor screams near redline yet maintains a throty and muscular growl. Handling is smooth and precise and power is available at all RPMs. It's so comfortable, in fact, that one can easily forget that one is driving a performance sports car -- that is, until you give the throttle a kick.
